Alan H. Garfield received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and his Juris Doctorate from DePaul Law School. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Alan is a member of the American, Illinois State and Chicago Bar Associations. Alan has been a guest lecturer on topics such as: lender liability, environmental matters, anti-trust matters, the United States Uniform Corrupt Practices Act and various corporate and real estate areas of law. His principal areas of practice include: corporate, partnership, limited liability companies, in the area of formation and guidance in regards to commercial law and related transactions, mergers and acquisitions, contractual law and agreements, supply chain agreements, advising medical professionals in regards to their professional practice entities, contract advice to international corporations doing business in the U.S. and abroad, intellectual property and licensing, banking matters, including secured lending and workout related work, and commercial real estate transactions, including all areas of financing, acquisition and sales, leasing, development and zoning.
